What is the Figure Personal Loan?

Whatever the expense may be, Figure makes accessing cash fast and convenient. The Figure Personal Loan is unsecured, closed-end, and is fully-amortized based on a fixed APR.

How quickly can I get cash using a personal loan?

Figure’s entirely online application process makes applying quick and easy. You can be approved in as little as 5 minutes and funded in as few as 2 days. Most funding occurs within 1 to 2 business days after approval. Note: we do not initiate funding on weekends. If an application was approved Friday then funds will be pushed the following week. You will receive an automated email when the fund transfer process is initiated.

Will checking my rate affect my credit score?

To generate a pre-qualified rate we pull a soft inquiry, which does not affect your credit score. You may see this soft inquiry on your credit report, but it’s only visible to you and not to other creditors or users of your credit report. However, submitting your application will result in a hard inquiry and may affect your credit score.

Is my personal information secure?

What are the requirements?

The Figure Personal Loan requirements are as follows:

  • Minimum of 640 Vantage
  • Debt-to-Income (DTI) ratio < 50% (excluding housing expenses)
  • Valid U.S. issued ID
  • Must be in good standing on any previous Figure loans
  • Figure does not lend to unemployed borrowers at this time
  • Retired applicants currently do not require VOE
What can I do with my cash?

Whatever you want! We suggest doing something responsible - like covering any immediate necessary costs, paying off debt, or fixing up your home.

What if my credit is locked or frozen?

In order to complete your application, we’ll need to pull your credit report. If your credit report is locked or frozen, it’s no problem. You can contact Experian, Equifax or TransUnion to have it unlocked.

How do I access my account?

You can log in to your Figure account directly from the “Login” option on the top right of the Figure website, or through our mobile app. Once you log in you will be able to find details on your application and/or loan, including your documents, statements, and any tax forms.

When is my payment due?

Your first payment will be due approximately 30 days after the funding of your loan, and each subsequent monthly payment will be due on the same day of each following month. In the event the first payment due date falls on the 29th, 30th, or 31st of the month, the monthly payment due in a subsequent shorter month will be due on the first day of the month following the shorter month.

Where can I find my periodic billing statement?

Your dashboard has all of your billing documents. Simply log in to your account to see your dashboard.

Who will service my loan?

Your loan will be serviced by Figure or subservicers that we contract with. In the event your loan is transferred, you will be notified in advance of any servicing transfer.

Can I apply for multiple loans with Figure?

Yes, you may apply for multiple Figure Personal Loans assuming you do not exceed the maximum loan limit ($50k). When applying again, you must apply under the same email address (identity). You will not be able to submit a subsequent application until 90 days after the previous Figure Personal Loan is funded or until three (3) consecutive payments have been made, whichever is longer.

What accounts are qualified?

For verification of assets, Figure accepts 401k, IRA, Keogh, Roth, Savings, Brokerage, Money Market, checking and CD accounts.

How do you verify employment?

We do everything in our power to make the Verification of Employment (VOE) process as smooth as possible.

We offer a multitude of paths to complete the VOE, which do not require outreach to your employer.

If alternate VOE options are unsuccessful and employer outreach is required, we simply ask for a few pieces of information regarding your Human Resources department then we’ll handle the rest!

What documents are required for the application?

Our fully automated application process can be entirely paper free. In most cases all we require is a copy of your valid government issued ID. In order to complete the application, you will need a valid, US issued ID, which may be a Driver’s License, State ID, Passport, or Permanent Resident card. If your ID has expired, please re-apply as soon as you receive a valid ID.

Will my credit be checked for the loan?

Yes. Checking your rate involves a “soft credit pull,” which will not affect your credit score. A soft credit pull typically only requires your name, date-of-birth, and property address. In rare instances, your social security number may be required as well. When you submit an application, Figure will request your permission to do a “hard credit pull,” which may affect your credit score. Your Figure Personal Loan will show as an “Installment Tradeline” on your credit profile.

How long do I have to complete the application?

You have up to fourteen (14) days to complete the application summary. Once completed, you will have an additional fourteen (14) days to complete your application. However, if your application expires, you’re welcome to reapply. Please note that rates and qualifications may change over time.

What happens if my verified income is less than my stated income?

If we identify a variance in your verified income compared to the stated income, a Figure team member will reach out to let you know. If you are not self-employed, you will have the option to provide additional documentation (e.g. pay stubs and tax returns. You may also select a lower loan amount based on your verified income. In some cases, we may decline your application if your verified income does not qualify for the loan.

What is the max amount of cash out I can take?

The maximum loan amount available is $50,000 and is subject to credit approval. Terms and conditions apply.

What loan amounts does Figure offer?

Figure offers a range of loan amounts from $5,000 up to $50,000, unless otherwise dictated by state law. The maximum loan amount offered is dependent on your specific situation, which takes into account elements such as credit score and debt to income ratio.

What loan terms does Figure offer?

Figure’s Personal Loan offers multiple fixed-rate terms. Click “Find my rate” and submit the first page of the application to see what loan terms you are pre-qualified for.

What are the fees associated with the loan?

Figure’s only fee (if applicable) is an industry standard origination fee ranging between 0% and 3%. Dependent on state and local laws. You will see the origination fee on your loan offer page when selecting a loan term.

Can I pay back my loan early without penalty?

Yes, you may pay back your loan at any time. There are no prepayment fees.

Are there any discounts available?

We offer a rate discount of 0.25% (0.0025) to borrowers who opt in to autopay. This option is presented 1) during the Product Select stage and 2) on the user dashboard post-funding. If you do not wish to elect autopay now, you may always opt in after funding. In order to receive the discount, autopay must be elected during the application or within 3 calendar days after funding and must be enabled.

What rates does Figure offer?

Figure offers APRs from 5.75% to 22.94% including autopay discount of 0.25%. Your rate is determined at the time of application. Lowest rates are for the most qualified applicants based on factors such as credit score, debt-to-income ratio, credit utilization and credit inquiries; rates will be higher for other applicants.

Who is eligible for the program?

The program is available to all individuals residing in states where the Personal Loan is available, with the exception of Kentucky, Ohio, and Rhode Island. In order for your friend to be eligible for the gift card reward, the individual who you referred must be a first-time borrower via Figure’s platform. The person who you refer must apply for a loan via the dedicated referral link in the email or social media that you will share, or by using the email address associated with your Figure account.

When will I get rewarded?

The gift card rewards are earned when the person you refer applies for a Personal Loan via the referral link you provide, and then is approved, accepts and receives the funding of such loan. Once the referred loan has been funded, it may take several days to fulfill the gift card orders, which will be delivered electronically to the email addresses associated with each account.

How do I refer someone?

Sign in to your Figure member dashboard, and look for the “Refer a friend” section on the right. Add your friend’s email and we'll email them a unique link with their referral offer.

How do I know if my friend used my referral link?

We will send both you and your friend a confirmation email once the application has been submitted. Then, once your friend’s Personal Loan funds, both you and your friend will receive a $150 gift card via email.

Will my friend and I be rewarded if the link is not used?

The person who has been referred must use the dedicated link OR the email address associated with the referrer’s Figure account when completing application in order to receive the gift card when the loan funds. If neither the dedicated link nor the referrer’s Figure account email is not used, we’ll have no way of knowing - and unfortunately will not be able to issue the reward.
